‘The seed is still on schedule’ was the sermon, and it was all about the time when we sow a seed and plant it in the soil, and take care of it, but still, we could not see any growth. This means that even after all over hard work, we could not find any fruit to it. But the message was to trust God when you have planted something. The God will fulfill the promise when He has given that to you. You just need to trust Him and be patient. The seed will grow on its time; His timing is just perfect.
We started thinking about this sermon, and it landed us to 1st Kings 18 passage. In Israel, there was a season of drought for three years, a season of waiting for the rain. People finally started having doubts if God will be ever sending rains. As a prophet, Elijah expects the drought to get over, and he sends his servant to the top of the cliff to see if there is any sign of rain. But servant comes back saying that there is no sign of rain. He sends him again and again, and each time the servant comes back with the same answer. But on the seventh time, the servant says that he could see something, it is very small, as the size of a hand. There is a cloud.
